Hope in the LORD and His Word
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.
Because of His faithfulness, we are assured that our hope has substance. Hebrews 11:1 tells us that faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Our confession of hope is as stable and solid as His Word. We do not hope like the world hopes. Our hope has the expectation of being 100% true. The world hopes that things will happen but our hope knows that things will happen for our hope is based on what He says. This hope that we have empowers us to keep going even in the face of utter destruction because we know that by faith what we hope for will come to pass.
The Lord is saying to us today,
“You must put away all negativity. When negative thoughts arise deal with them with My Word. Keep away from those who are constantly negative. Do not bring these people close to you or into your inner circle because they will eventually bring you down to their level of thought. Surround yourself with people who are going forward and reaching higher. Negativity brings death where hopefulness brings forth life. Abraham was hopeful where Lot was negative. Abraham would not settle for second best but Lot settled for what eventually caused him to compromise and live with what was. Abraham could see the future where Lot saw only what was in the past and what was now. If you do not have an expectation of something good to come then you lose hope and when you lose hope you lose effective faith, ” says the LORD.
Prayer of the day,
Lord, please help me to stir up the gifts and calling that you have given me. I am so sorry for the times I’ve allowed complacency and negativity to keep me down. I want to change and I want to grow more and more in You. Fill me with Your Spirit today to overflowing and put the desire in me to make a positive change in my life with so much strength and power that no man or demon can keep me from my destiny in You.
